Nvidia Might Release Two Versions of the GeForce GTX 660 Video Card

Nvidia is working on the final touches for the launch of the long anticipated GeForce GTX 660 Ti video card. We’ve reported here about the August launch and here we’ve disclosed the likely exact date of the launch event.

Now it seems the company has two versions of the card prepared for the launch. A GTX 660 with no “Ti” suffix that will work on a 192-bit BUS and a “full” GeForce GTX 660 Ti with a 256-Bit memory interface.

Nvidia's goal is to have a $300 video card that will be able to beat AMD’s Radeon HD 7870 graphics adapters.

There will likely be two 6-pin power connectors on the 256-Bit model and a single such connector on the 192-Bit version.

There is a rumored 2700-point 3D Mark11 EP (extreme preset) score for the 256-Bit mode l, but there’s no reliable confirmation regarding this aspect.
