Jesper Kyd, one of the most well-known composers for video game music, says that he is interested in working with developer BioWare in the future and that the soundtrack for Assassin’s Creed 2 is the most successful product of his career up to this point.
He adds, “Well, the overwhelming reception to the Assassin’s Creed 2 score was awesome. I was humbled to see everyone embrace this music. It was a unique and special game, and I think we created a memorable score that’s become very popular with the fans.”
The biggest recognition that Jesper Kid has received was the BAFTA for the Hitman: Contracts score.
The composer also worked on the recently launched Darksiders II, the open world action title from Vigil Games and THQ, and on that for Borderlands 2, the shooter from Gearbox and 2K Games.
It’s not clear what BioWare made video game project Kid might be suited for in the coming year.
We already know that the development studio is working on more content for Mass Effect 3, but it’s unlikely that any of them will be significant enough to merit it s own soundtrack.
The company is also creating another game in the Dragon Age series, called Inquisition, which might be suited to Kid’s musical style.
At the same time he could become involved with the new Command & Conquer project from the Victory studio, which will be free-to-play but will deliver the same features and quality as an AAA game.
