Following the official launch of the mobile operating system on Monday, Windows Phone 8 smartphones have started to pour in in the UK, and the Windows Phone 8X by HTC is the latest to be spotted as available for purchase in the country.
The new device has made it on the websites of online retailers Unlocked Mobiles and Clove, where it features a fairly similar price tag, at £398.98 and £399.98, respectively (around $644 / 500 Euro).
Windows Phone 8X is the company’s new flagship device powered by Microsoft’s mobile operating system, and can deliver an appealing experience to all users.
The phone was made official with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor inside, as well as with a 4.3-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) Super AMOLED touchscreen display on the front, with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.
Moreover, it comes with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and support for full HD video recording, as well as with a 2MP camera on the front for making video calls.
HTC also packed the new smartphone with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, and an 1800mAh battery.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, built-in GPS receiver, NFC and the entire usual set of sensors have been included in the new device as well.
“With the HTC 8X you can experience incredible sound with Beats Audio. Combined with an exclusive, built-in amplifier, it ensures a stand-out audio experience, whether you’re listening to music, playing games or watching a film,” Clove notes on this device.
