Chrome 24 Dev and 23 Beta for Chromebooks Fix Wallpaper Daylight Savings Bug

Chromebook owners are in for a treat, whether they're using the beta or the dev channels. Both testing channels have gotten a new Chrome, though it's a minor release with just some stability fixes.

In the dev channel, which was recently upgraded to Chrome 24, there is now Chrome 24.0.1305.4, part of Chrome OS 3083.2.0.

This is an incremental update over the first Chrome 24 for Chrome OS and that's how it's going to stay, on the desktop Chrome 24 is ready to make the jump to the beta channel.

In Chrome OS, the build fixes an issue where the wallpaper would be missing after the daylight savings time changed during the weekend.

Chrome 23.0.1271.83 beta, part of Chrome OS 2913.157.0 for the new Chromebook and Chrome OS 2913.156.0 for the rest of devices, also brings a number of fixes.

The wallpaper issue affected this version as well and it's been fixed, the mouse sensitivity setting is now stored in the cloud via Chrome sync, so it will be available across devices, a Bluetooth bug has been corrected and several other bugs squashed.
