ECS Reveals Complete Range of mini-ITX Motherboards

Deciding to set aside the habit of launching motherboards one at a time, Elitegroup Computer System has introduced a full series of small form factor platforms for SFF systems, consumer PCs, enterprise systems, and all-in-one PCs.

There are six motherboards in total. Two of them are suited for daily use value PCs, two are good for multimedia PCs and the other two are usable in enterprise systems.

First off, we will look at the value-segment NM70-TI and CDC-TI, both of which have support for up to 4 GB of RAM (two DDR3 SO-DIMM memory slots), two mini PCI Express slots (one full, one half), two SATA 3.0 Gbps ports and three video connectors (VGA, LVDS, HDMI).

The NM70-TI ships with an Integrated Intel Celeron 847/807 CPU and has an additional SATA port (SATA 6.0 Gbps). The CDC-TI has an Intel Atom CPU (D2700/D2550/D2500 dual core). Both are good for low-cost AiO and mini PCs.

The Q77H2-TI and B75H2-TI are the enterprise-grade mainboards, powered by the 7-series Intel chipset and, thus, compatible with Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs.

They have USB 3.0 (four ports), USB 2.0 (five ports), SATA 6 Gbps support, and two mini PCI Express x1 slots, each.

The Q77H2-TI ships with remote management and hardware level security, among other things, making it good for virus-free computers. The B75H2-TI emphasizes small business management (Intel Small Business advantage) and enhances productivity, not just data safety.

That leaves the m ultimedia and entertainment platforms, H61H2-TI and H61H-G11, both of which use Intel's 6-series chipset and, thus, LGA 1155 CPUs.

The H61H2-TI has all solid capacitors, a mini PCI Express x1 slot, mSATA, a 95W CPU (or one of lower energy draw), USB 3.0 and HDMI.

The H61H-G11 provides mini PCI Express, SATA 3.0 Gbps, USB 2.0, HDMI, LVDS, Gigabit Ethernet and 65W CPU support.
