Samsung might be the dominating brand in the Android-based phablet segment at the moment, but it seems that its devices are bound to see some great competition next year.
In addition to a wide range of 5-inch smartphones that emerged online recently (either leaked or in official announcements), we will also see devices with larger screens, indeed capable of taking on Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note II.
The handset will sport a 5.3-inch touchscreen when launched, capable of delivering a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, which should prove pretty good for a handset this size.
Furthermore, it will feature a quad-core MT6589 CPU from MediaTek packed inside, clocked in at 1.3GHz and complemented by 1GB of RAM.
The new mobile phone will also include 8GB of internal memory, along with support for dual-SIM cards, with dual standby capabilities, it seems.
On the back, it will sport a 12-megapixel photo snapper, with support for advanced imaging capabilities, including full HD video recording.
The handset is also said to arrive on shelves with a 3-megapixel front-facing camera that can enable users to make video calls while on the go. The phone is powered by a 3000mAh battery, which should provide users with enough usage time.
Neo N003 was also announced with Google ’s Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, though it might receive an upgrade to the newer platform release soon after its official launch.
This smartphone should arrive on shelves as the company’s flagship handset, though no specific info on when it will hit the market or at which price tag has been provided as of yet. Keep an eye on this space for additional details on the device.
