Kickstater Projects Debut in the UK

Kickstarter has started allowing UK projects to take a shot at getting funded, as the planned UK launch gets under way.

This will mean local projects will find it easier to seek and get funding as they'll be able to deal with the local banks. The move was announced a few months ago, but is only now kicking off.

People in the UK have been able to create new projects for three weeks now, Kickstarter wanted to give them time to put together a campaign and have it ready for today's launch.

This should also ensure that there are at least some projects ready to take people's money from day one in the UK.

These new projects will be listed among all of the other on Kickstarter, UK-based viewers will see the prices in pounds, but everyone else will pay the equivalent US dollar amount.

Like before, anyone around will be able to pledge a sum of money to both UK and US projects, though it's up to the creators to decide whether they can service foreign buyers or not.
