Among the list of improvements available in Windows 8, one can also find the so-called “Picture Password” tool, an authentication method that lets you sign in with just a touch.

While this is especially useful on Windows RT, “Picture Password” is available on all Windows 8 machines, including traditional desktop computers and laptops without a touchscreen.

“Picture password is a new way to help you protect your touchscreen PC. You choose the picture – and the gestures to use with it – to create a password that’s uniquely yours,” Microsoft explains.

Of course, just like all the other new features, it’s rarely used at this moment, but this is probably the purpose of this clip after all.

Microsoft encourages users to adopt “Picture Password” and this wa y to discover all the goodies available in Windows 8.
